Shen's research lab is dedicated to multidisciplinary fields including nanoscale energy transport/conversion, nanophotonics, and renewable energies. The aim of our lab is to explore fundamental nanoscale energy transport and conversion phenomena for developing more efficient energy systems. We are interested in nanoscale phonon transport for heat conduction, nanoscale photon transport for thermal radiation, electromagnetic metamaterials, plasmonics and their applications in thermoelectrics, thermophotovoltaics, solar photovoltaics, and solar thermal energy conversion. |
